YOUR DICTIONARY.COM: THE WEB OF ON-LINE DICTIONARIES
A collection of dictionaries representing over 200 languages. In addition to general dictionaries, the site houses a collection of other reference sites, including specialty dictionaries (law, busines, computing, sports, etc), definition and thesaurus search engines, a variety of language-specific reference works (rhyming dictionary, acronyms, synonyms, homophones, and antonyms) and translation programs.
Beyond offering online access and search capabilities to the Merriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary, the Webster's site also provides special features, including a "word of the day," and word games.
A multi-language translating dictionary. Although it provides reasonably accurate translations for single words, it is somewhat limited in phrase translation.
In addition to offering standard encyclopedic entries, the Britannica site provides indepth articles on a broad range of subjects applicable to the classroom, as well as teaching resources and aids.
Provides a wealth of information for teachers and inclass projects for K-12 students.
